October 5 - ATW released a new type of Memphis cigarettes - it's called Memphis Blue Ultra. It's American Blend and the bar-code is 9030 0257. Tar is 3 mg, nicotine is 0,3 mg. - The production of the brands BASIC and REYNO LIGHTS seems to be stopped .....
October 1 - Also Gauloises Blondes Filtre is now available in Austria with new design with the big helmet. The bar-code is still the same, the tar changed to 12 mg. Also JPS American Blend Lights has changed the design a little bit - the script is now red and gold. Bar-Code, tar and nicotine is still the same.
September 5 - There is now the pack NTB available in Austria. The brand is made by Arkopharma Frankreich and there is 0,0 mg Nicotine and 5 mg Tar. They are herbal cigarettes and they are made to help stop smoking. The bar-code is 9002217 060588.
August 28 - The design of Gauloises Blondes Lights/Legeres has changed to a new moderner design. There is still a foile outside with the old design but the packs shows already the new design. Bar-code, tar and nicotine didn't change.
August 20 - A new kind of Benson & Hedges is now available in Austria. The "Lights"-pack has the bar-code 5010175 552377, tar is 6 mg and nicotine is 0,5 mg.
July 26 - Austria Tabak has a new Austrian brand with Vanilla taste called Milde Aroma. The bar-code is 9030 0240, tar is 7 mg and nicotine is 0,5 mg.
June - The production of the Austrian brand Memphis Menthol has stopped and the brand is out now with another name and another design as Memphis Green. The bar-code is 9030 0103, tar is 6 mg and nicotine is 0,5 mg.
April 15 - B.A.T. is producing Lucky Strike and Lucky Strike Lights with the "Lucky Lips"-Collection. About 3 months this collection is available in Austria.
The brand Parisienne Extra (new since March 1998) is renamed in Parisienne Extra Light - bar-code, tar and nicotine is still the same like before.
April 6 - From the German company Reemtsma are now two new brands available in Austria. R 1 Minima International (4030 5721) with 1 mg tar/0,1 mg nicotine and West Ultra (4030 4977) with 4 mg tar/0,4 mg nicotine are new here.
March 1 - From Philip Morris is a new pack available in Austria - Marlboro Ultra Lights (8724 8777) is new on market here in Austria with 3 mg tar/0,3 mg nicotine. The production of the Austrian brand Treff has stopped.
